Upside-Down Magic
by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, Emily Jenkins
Upside-Down Magic follows Nory Horace, a young girl who discovers her magical powers don’t work quite the way they’re supposed to. Instead of turning into a dragon, she becomes a “Dritten” — half dragon, half kitten. Placed in the Upside-Down Magic class at Dunwiddle Magic School, Nory and her classmates learn to embrace their unusual abilities while facing skepticism from traditional magic instructors. The story explores themes of self-acceptance, resilience, friendship, and celebrating differences, wrapped in light fantasy adventure and school-based humor.
